Bianca Andreescu is recovering from an emergency appendectomy—and aiming for a clay-court comeback within the spring.

The 2019 US Open champion introduced her sudden surgical procedure on social media. Surgical procedure has pressured Andreescu out of the Merida Open in Mexico later this month.
